The Hidden Struggle of a Single Mother

The Hidden Struggle of a Single Mother

Not every single mother lives separately from her child’s father. Some live under the same roof, with the father still present but absent from the responsibilities of family life.

From the outside, people may never realize her struggle. She carries the burden of food, home loan installments, electricity, gas, internet bills, her child’s education, tuition, important study decisions, and countless other daily expenses and responsibilities-with little or no contribution from the father. She sacrifices whole life without love, care, respect for some unmet reason.

But still she must meet her own needs, support her family, and navigate the challenges of raising teenage children, often fighting every battle alone. Yet the world may never see her as a struggling single mother because the child’s father is still there.

When people recognize her emotional vulnerability, some offer false hope, pretending to care while looking for an opportunity to exploit her loneliness. They may assume she is desperate for love and that a few affectionate words are enough to win her trust.

But it is easy to express love; it is much harder to honour promises and stay committed.

When the excitement fades, some people invent excuses and create unnecessary drama to escape the relationship. They wanted companionship, attention, or a way to pass the time, but never intended to take responsibility for the emotional consequences of their actions.

For a woman already carrying so many burdens, this kind of emotional exploitation can make life feel unbearably heavy.

She is not weak because she needs love. She is human. She deserves honesty, respect, and a relationship built on genuine commitment, not false promises, temporary affection, or selfish intentions.

If you cannot stand beside someone through the realities of life, please do not enter their life with promises you never intend to keep.

Sometimes, the pain you leave behind adds to a burden that was already too heavy to carry🙏🙏🙏🙏
